Question [WANTED] Info: 2.875" OD body tube?

I haven't been able to find a 2.875" OD body tube, but I'm looking for one for a scale MPR/HPR project I'm thinking of doing.

Does anybody know of a supplier of such a body tube?

Thanks!
Jim

You will probably have to roll your own. The minimum order requirement of any of the commercial tube manufacturers (1000 pieces, IIRC) would be a major strain on an individual's finances.

Series 275 tubing from Semroc is 2.840" OD. Is that close enough?

Great idea. Some wraps of paper, or better yet, fiberglass, will provide a really tough tube that can be brought up to the desired diameter.

What scale model are you replicating?

Just curious.
