Last week I tried again, this time on an E9-6. Flight was perfect, windcocking heavily and climbing way out to the right. I noticed that something looked to be fluttering alongside the rocket as it descended, but didn't think much about it until it landed. Turns out the payload section had hit a fin at ejection and blew most of it away. Fixable, but it will no longer look like a prom queen.

Ugh.
Another less than optimal recovery.
Seems to just happen to some rockets and not others.
Some others you can abuse, overpower, and try to lose and they always come back looking new.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

My fault. I had planned to go to Hobby Lobby for E9-8s and never got around to it. That might have been the difference maker.
