I stand corrected.
My MX Missile tube must be only like 9" or 10".

Seems that the length of the BT-60 used in #1978 Gemini Titan has been pinned down, thanks to the kind input from everyone, but I thought I would add a couple of confirming observations from the Body Tube Reference I had prepared some time ago (http://www.rocketshoppe.com/info/Es...e_List_3.1.pdf).
#1978 used P/N 030407 BT-60DS as the main airframe, and this tube is indeed 12.5" long. For GH and the #1918 Titan II, I'll mention that it used P/N 030415 BT-60KC; of interest here is that the part is nominally identified as 12.75" long, but in the sample kits I used to compile the data for the reference I found that the BT-60 actually measured 12.875". I seriously doubt anyone would notice or care about the extra 1/8", but it was interesting to find that delta compared to the nominal dimension.

GH:
The #1916 MX Missile used P/N 030406 BT-60D, 11.00" long. Your speculation is very close indeed.
