Estes Loadstar II
*First Post*
Hello everyone. Happy to be here. I have seen a couple members have put together and talked about the Estes Loadstar II in the past, but I did not want to necropost. I was wondering if anyone has put together one recently. I am nearing completion, but I am a little nervous that the nose cone assembly is attached to the clear payload tube with scotch tape. Has anyone had any trouble with this? Is it strong enough to hold up to a launch (with or without a payload)? Thanks for your help. |

Unless the nose cone has a huge amount of weight inside, I think a clean wrap of scotch tape would be more than up to the match of holding the cone on.

Agreed. A single, clean wrap of scotch tape will hold that nose cone on. I've learned this the hard way.
You can obtain metallic mylar tapes that would hold the nose cone on, and possibly enhance the appearance and visibility of your model too.

GLUE will hold the cone on really well.
