Couple of rockets launched today
It was a nice day out so I decided to launch a couple of my rockets. The first is the Mini Max, Flew great on a A10-3T. The X-Wing suffered a fatal blow when the parachute tangled up with the rocket. The launch went great and the rocket flew straight up in the air on C6-3, I was surprised how straight she flew. The ejection went fine but I noticed the rocket was coming down pretty fast, the parachute was tangled up with the wings. This is a great rocket, and I have to admit I have about 6 more of these. When I see these older kits go for 20 bucks, I buy them. It is ok because I was not too happy with my build, it was one of my first builds coming back into the hobby. The last rocket was the newly released Xarconian Cruiser. This rocket flew pretty darn good for the weight, once again I used a C6-3. The only bummer is when it landed a breeze drug the rocket over a rock causing a pretty good chip in the paint on the body tube. Oh well, I can never come back from the field without a little damage. I am going to try it again next week.

You have a great looking launch site there. Wide open space and a nice looking day from the photos. That X-Wing build looks professional to me. Sorry it crashed like that. I agree with you about returning from a launch with damaged rockets. It seems that I always have some repairs to do; if it's just a little paint touch up I count myself lucky. You have an interesting launcher. I've not seen one like that. Is that a 6 volt lantern battery? You didn't need the blast shield for the Mini Max, I see.
