Range Storage Rack
I built this fold up rack to store all my models that aren't currently on the launch pad. I've been taking more and more rockets to the flying field lately and needed a way to organize them.
I used to just line them up, but a sudden gust of wind would always topple them. I tried laying them on the ground, but then they were at risk for being stepped on by spectators looking skyward instead of where they were standing. I tried a cardboard box, but they never fit well and would get jumbled together. I made this for $0 out of stuff I found in the garage. It's just 3 lengths of pine parting bead, a few small hinges, dowels, and some leftover brackets from bi-fold closet doors. When folded it locks together for easy transport. The dowels are varying lengths and can be repositioned to accommodate various size models. |

Ingenious!
Very nicely made with salvaged parts. I never throw anything away either. I just may copy that.

I don't know what's cooler, the rack or your fleet.

I agree. And they are in such pristine condition! Ahhh, grass ... I fly on hard dirt and gravel. Rockets looks pretty up until you pick them up after the first flight.
