NASCAR is a spec series where everyone drives the same car and the races are manipulated to maximize the entertainment value. Total crap which I can't stand to watch anymore.

There has been no innovation at Indianapolis in over 20 years. Spec racing with rides awarded to the drivers that bring the most sponsorship dollars. I still attend every year and it is a great race but it is a shell of what it used to be.

The current generation would rather have the latest cell phone then their own car. They do not tolerate danger and the risk of death. I feel fortunate to have been a race fan in the 70's , 80's and 90's but the golden days of the automobile and auto racing are gone and are never coming back.
