Good to Great news (ESTES)
I think it's time to kill the old thread Bad news (ESTES) and start posting our hopes for the new ESTES.
I think all of us in the rocket hobby, have a lot to look forward to in the future. One thing I read that makes me happy was "We have lots of cool stuff. I like our Saturns because they are big and impressive," Ellis Langford said. This tells me they may like scale models and maybe the Saturn family of rockets including the Saturn 1B might be re-released again with improvements to there constructions. All and all I'm looking forward to the NEW ESTES. |

Looking forward to this new ownership as well.
Would really like to see the K-21 Gemini Titan and both the 1/70 and 1/100 scale Saturn 1B's brought back. AND THE B14 !!!!

Next year's the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. If they don't re-release the Saturn V, it'll be shocking.

The Saturn V has had more re-releases than any other kit. Plus, Ellis Langford, the son of John, has a real thing for Saturns and scale. Here is a link to an article in the Pueblo newspaper. Best line in article as to implied plans for Saturns and possibly other cool stuff: “After he beefs up the staff, his next order of business is planning products to be offered during the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing next year, Ellis Langford said” https://www.chieftain.com/business/...aign=user-share

13mm B, 24mm D40, A8-5 bulk, B4-6 bulk. Real igniters since they are exempt under NA-0323 and contain only a slow burning solid NOT subject to ATF regulation per the lawsuit.

A 13 mm B would be nice. And the “starters” really are a joke. I dip mine in NC lacquer mixed with milled BP, but the average model rocketry person should not have to resort to mods like these. And you cannot just walk into Walgreens (like was possible in my town, or most gun shops, for that matter) to buy a can of BP, as you could 20 years ago.

This is the Best News that I have heard about ESTES in the last in he last 50 years . the Lankford's own a company that has contracts with the U.S .Military. Believe Me, my distant relatives in Michigan also contract for the U.S. Military and they could sneeze more more money than what it would take to budget ESTES. Also the Lankford's also love the Hobby, gee I would love to see the Lankford's offer Vern Estes and Honorary Presidency just for prosperity. No more profit only motivated managing, Owners who Love their Company.

Langford, not Lankford
Boeing bought Aurora Flight Sciences, so the Langfords do not own Aurora, but they may have a lot of cash or Boeing stock. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora_Flight_Sciences http://www.aurora.aero/ And John is still CEO and President of Aurora, so whatever the deal was, I am sure that he did and is doing very well. http://www.aurora.aero/press-releases/ https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/BA?p=BA Quote:

We should be able to submit suggestions that are sane and logical for corrections to existing products.
For instance: https://www.estesrockets.com/rocket...2092-mongoosetm We need the booster stage to TUMBLE and not streamline in perfectly stably and hit the ground or a person in the head or a fine luxury automobile. it used to tumble long ago in an earlier lifetime.
