Default Anyone ever build a V-1 scale rocket?

In a discussion last nite with a small group of local builders the topic of building a scale V-1 came up. As none of us have ever actually built one we were curious how it might fly? The assumption was it would actually try to fly horizontal fairly soon after leaving the launch pad. Land Sharking I believe is the term. Has anyone ever experimented with this? As there is no commercial one available my thought is it would not be safe to fly?

Noris Raketen of Germany sells a V-1. Note the engine has been moved to the main airframe, away from the actual pulsejet location.

I've had luck getting Noris Raketen kits via hobby shops in the UK. Might be able to buy them directly too. Not bad kits - a bit different though. I built their "Natter" kit and it works pretty well.

Is it possible to order direct from them here in the USA? I have a couple kits from them but they were purchased through Apogee.

That website has a lot of Estes products that have been discontinued for a LONG time.
Wonder if they truly are available or just really outdated info on the site.

I've done scratch builds using some hand made styrene vacuformed body and pulsejet pieces, for 24mm motors, I also put the motor in the main body to avoid offset thrust and drag, CG was around the LE of the wing, flights were generally straight wtih slight angle toward the drag of the ramjet, which was flowthrough...I've also done rc rocket glider versions, also with the motor in line with the main wing. Getting them to fly straight is just a matter of straight builds and CG placement forward enough, same with winged V-2's and Natters.
