Default Another mystery identity.

Back in the mid-to-late 1980's, while roaming the woods along my launching field, I found this rough looking build. I always coinsidered it scratch, but thought some of you might know if it is a Centuri model or by someone other than Estes. I was an Estes snob, and was confused and frightened by the strange and unusual ways of other companies.

Doesn't look familiar. Cool, but the lack of an engine hook says scratchbuild. Name it and fly it. You might find out that it's one of your favorites.

That looks like something Jim Flis would make.

It's sorta "Flislike".

It could be a scratch from a Designer's Special.

Reminds me of a Joe Walsh album. Specifically, the one called "You Bought It - You Name It."

It looks like a Lazer-X got drunk one night, "got busy" with a BBIII, and this was their love child.

There may or may not have been an engine hook. It looks like the engine mount may have been a blowout.

Always fun to speculate. Also always fun to mention Joe Walsh.

During my apparently somewhat frequent searches circa mid-80's, I found a couple of other interesting items (I don't recall if I found any of my lost rockets). No mystery to this one, though. Looks like I'll be ordering another cone from SEMROC soon.
