Nice! Love the vintage decal look.
My nephew was over today and made me take him to my "space rocket room" three times. He loved all of the rockets, but the cluster birds were particularly fascinating to him. I think he thought I was lying when I told him that the Hydra VII took seven motors.

Nice Cobra AK. I thought the BMS kits came with decals? What do you plan to put her up on?

Three B6-4s initially. Then I'll go for the C's.

Very nice

never really liked that vintage paint / decor, but yours might change my mind, real clean.

I have a clone I built from when Estes had the plans in an old MRN issue, circa late 80's ?

Friend Nick Hills has a vintage one and we've been going to drag race them for years, just never got around to it.

Agian, nice build.. keep posting project photos so I / we ? can get motivated ... will post a few of mine soon, promise ( stop beating me, please )

Same here. The Cobra was only ever mildly interesting to me, but this one has lit a fire in me. Now I gotta build one!

Thanks for the compliments.

Next up is either a vintage Ranger or Alpha (both pre-D).

The Cobra always struck me as kind of pointless: Lots of power to get a tiny little payload section moving.

But I love those fins and the lines of the thing, and that silver paint job is lovely!

This paint/decal scheme is from the late 1960's ESTES catalogs. I always thought that is made the model look more like a missile. Here is a link to a catalog pic from 1967:
