Default A shout out to the USPS

My final Semroc order arrived today and within the usual shipping timeframe. I'd like to take a moment and thank the USPS for the care and professionalism they showed in the handling of my package. Such great service can only be matched by UPS or untrained gorillas at the zoo.

I didn't get a picture of gaping hole in the side of the shipping box.

Ouch! That's a bummer. Gentle folks, huh?

I've generally been fairly lucky with USPS, but have had similar happen before. Once, I had a mint, vintage Centuri Saturn 1b in the vintage color box get treatment like that from the postal service. EVERY tube in the kit was a pancake by the time the shipment reached my mailbox.

Looks like that went through the powr-mangler department.
Reminds me of stories a buddy told me about working for UPS when in college.
Certain customers that were prone to hassling them got 'x-tra special' treatment of their packages sometimes....like the football-punt durability test and the boot-print chekk-thru.

Well, my story is a little different, at least I hope it doesn't turn into a crushed box story, but....

I place an order from uncle Mike's for some SemRoc kits on the 26, he ships it from Michigan, it travels to Tampa, Fl than back north to Cleveland, sent out for delivery, thence to Mentor Ohio where it was out for delivery and is now being returned as undeliverable. I can't wait to see this package when I finally get it.
