I would not accept any sort of "honor" from that POS site.
Any supposed "honor" from there has a value slightly below a FLAMING BAG OF DOG POO topped with BURNING TOENAILS, marinated in Skoal SPITTOR JUICE.

PS. I haven't even been on that site in at least a couple years... Got sick and tired of the overmoderation and drama/nonsense over there, and a fresh crop of "hold my beer and watch this" types...

Wayyyyy too many "golden children" that get away with everything there, and others get banned for the equivalent of "jaywalking"
POS site over-ran by POS moderators.

About as useful as a bowlin' ball in a swimmin' pool.

I had enough with the "new owners" and their stupidity... when troj first sold it out to them, somebody warned of the "oh my word, he didn't sell it THOSE GUYS did he?? They bought a rock/mineral forum I was once on (part time as a moderator) and they just did this-n-that and TOTALLY RUINED that place... charged in like a bull on crack in a china closet and backpedaled on everything they said and laid claim to all their eyes beheld and ran off all the QUALITY contributors and then "poof" went the "average membership" and finally all that was left was the guys who liked arguing with each other too much to quit...

After broad and vague assurances that nothing of the type would happen, they backpedaled on everything they said, did what they said they would *NEVER* do (memberships) and flooded the place with ads, laid claim to anything and everything that *EVER* appeared on their forum, regardless of creative ownership (and ran off a LOT of valuable contributors to the forum like Shrox), ran off MOST of the posting vendors as they claimed virtually *anything* they posted was "advertising" and demanded payment, then didn't even have the decency to fulfill their end of the bargain and keep up the banner ads they HAD *already SOLD* to more than a few vendors, while their stupid "Ad-Choices" garbage had NO PROBLEMS spamming your computer to the point it locked up trying to view the forum, then of course they backpedaled again and said they'd SELL you a "membership" that would entitle you to have *SOME* of the ads turned off (NOT ALL-- gotta keep making a buck despite you being held to pay a "ransom" to view the forum without being pop-up bombed back to the Stone Age...) Then of course the rampaging moderators over their getting a whole new head of steam, and a few new guys that were WAY too fond of their "demerit" and "ban" buttons... And who were on speed-dial of a number of whiny crybabies that haunted the forums just LOOKING for *ANYTHING* that THEY found offensive, in order to stir up trouble...

Then the whole "if you disagree with the owners or mods or post something we don't like, we'll demerit you or whack your thingy with a stick or ban you or whatever" and that was like the last straw... I said "F*** IT!" one day and never went back...

Never joined / posted there. Still consider myself blessed to have found this place first.

You never missed anything... most guys cross-posted most stuff of any real interest here anyway, and the signal-to-noise ratio is SO much better here (meaning that place was overrun by massive quantities of "fertilizer" like "word association games" and "I've burned this many thousand Newtons of thrust so far this year" and other such utterly superfluous nonsense....

Later! OL J R

With so many other options now, TRF is like McDonald's, You don't mind going there on occasion, but if you find yourself going everyday, you may be in trouble.
