No that was NOT me, but I do know who that is.
Happily I have never crashed my Corvette or any of the numerous ZR1's or Z06's I have piloted.
That snapped around so fast it looked like a tire went down or a tie-rod let loose.

, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

No, an idiot GM exec was behind the wheel.
What a MO!
Probably never driven anything with more than 200hp, let alone on a road course!
Super-fail!

No pranks.
That person is regularly in 500+ hp cars. He is a vehicle development executive, not a bean-counter.

He drove like he had no idea what he was doing.
How embarrassing!

I'm telling you, something broke on the car.
There was no tire smoke from sudden braking or acceleration.
Something broke causing a wild veer out of control.

He had traction control off and just got into it too hard on cold tires.
It got away from him. Nothing broke but his driving!
Pretty funny when you think of the irony...

BS.
I happen to directly know what kind of stability control that vehicle has. Even in competition mode that scenario will not happen unless done deliberately. It has an active rear axle. You can literally have one rear tire on ice and the other on a dragstrip and it will launch straight.
Exactly how many ZR1 Corvettes have you driven or any modern Corvette for that matter ?
Unless you have experience in these cars, you are just talking out your posterior.

We can give this guy a little break - he's not a pro.

OTOH, at Indy in 1992, Roberto Guerrero, professional driver and pole sitter, lost control of his ride on the parade lab and wrecked out before taking the green.

And I was there at Indy in 86 when Tom Sneva, another pro and 3-time winner, wrecked on the parade lap, which delayed the start nearly an hour while they topped off the fuel tanks on pit road.
