New Plan -- MARK III
Another basic 3FNC, but drawing on that compound fin step discussed earlier. I was looking for simplicity, as well as performance. The silver-color bands are an optional trim using cardstock; but silver automotive trim tape could be used instead. Solid black overall. Give it a high-gloss finish.
This design should be a good flyer for your collection of "usual suspects"... The deployment velocities are at the high end when using the B4 and C6 motors, but not excessively so. You might reef the shrouds when flying with these motors. The A8 gives a nice flight with a gentle deployment at apogee for small fields. All three motors will reach safe flight V in the length of a standard 36" rod. A8-3......238'......9 FPS.....595 FPS/S B4-4......569'.....26 FPS.....750 FPS/S C6-5.....1250'.....27 FPS.....766 FPS/S Enjoy!

New design: Anger Management
Nice Mark III Craig, and yes I really like the tapered fin design as well.
Last week it was spring break at the school I am remodeling and everyone was gone for the week. Yeah! I was running a couple of minutes late so I quickly parked and ran in to work. Then about 2:30 pm I notice a police van parked next to my truck and proceded to see what was going on. What was going on was that I was getting a ticket for parking in a handicap spot in an empty parking lot. $$$250.00 dollar fine I said "whatever" and went back to work. I comitted a few choice ranting and swearings after the police left though. I am taking it to court along with the Superintendant as witness that the school was concidered a work zone during spring break. Your prayers are appreciated. This may really cut intp my rocket budget! Here is the design Anger Management I drew up, I helped relax me after a stressful day. Thanks Again, JP James Pierson NAR#77907 |

New Plan -- Stealth
This model was not designed to be a streamer-recovery type, but rather a boost-glider. I'm posting it now in the streamer mode, because it appears to actually be able to fly like this, and not too badly, either. I am still working on the BG version. If I fly three of them at the same time, maybe they'll sing harmony. One in falsetto...
All-black, glossy finish, with low-vis ghost-gray decals of your choice. 1/4A3-3T.....175'......5 FPS.....36" rod 1/2A3-4T.....340'.....13 FPS.....36" rod Do not use the full A3-4T. Too much power, too much tail weight. Enjoy!

New Design: Interceptus Maximus
Very nice work on the Stealth Craig. You might concider a Krylon Ultra Flat Black for the finish. It may be more of an radar absorbing coating.
Here is the Interceptus Maximus I whipped up a few days ago. Some day I need to learn how to so the sims for the pod NC. Someday. Also with this design I want to wish Craig sweet dreams. James Pierson NAR#77907 |

New Design: Orbit Star
Here is the Orbit Star design I came up with. This design might look better with some porthole decals down both sides and a cockpit decal on the nose come. It's a little more part wise than most of my designs. The fins may somewhat difficult to cut because of the sharp angles but it should make a good design to build. I hope.
Thanks and Enjoy, JP James Pierson NAR#77907 |

Sorry to take so long to respond to your post! While I feel like I'm a *long* way behind James in submitting designs (at least, when it comes to sheer numbers), I appreciate you saying "Thanks!" (Sorry I'm not adept at graphics. Otherwise, I'd have more interesting decal sheets. ) Quote:
