Hmmmmm.....Work permitting, I just might have to show up for the first time in over 30 years. The last NARAM I attended was the one in Rantoul, IL back in 1986 (I think), back when it was still an active Air Force base.

Been there done that!! Football, baseball, basketball, soccer coaching and scoutmaster eats up a your free time. The major bonus for being scoutmaster for 18 years was doing the space ex MB at least once a year......

So, it's an EIGHT day launch, with a FOUR day NARAM . . .

They are going to try to have TEN events in FOUR days . . .

Note that one of the events is R&D, which takes place in the evening. Still, nine events in four days is certainly doable. In my limited NARAM experience there was always a great deal of down time during the flying days.

EDIT: Another way to look at it is 19 events in 7 days.

So, if NARAM is going to be the last four days of the event, when is Scale turn-in ?

Unless, contestants are forced to "hang out" during the Sport Launch for a couple of extra days beforehand, how will there be enough time to judge models ?

Remember, this is Scale, not Sport Scale and models will have to be measured and closely examined.

Perhaps an email to Brian Guzek (NARAM-61 CD) would answer your question....

Scale can be judged accurately and fairly in just a couple of hours, assuming that enough folks are on hand to help with the measurements.

Hats off to you for continuing to work, thereby keeping the SSN coffers full for those of us that have moved on from such activities.

Maybe see you at a future event!
