Talking Centuri Vector-V ~1.37X upscale

After starting on my 1.00X Centuri Fireflash project a week ago (scroll down to post #12), I though I'd dig up another project I abandoned about three years ago.

Photo 1) The 1.00X and 1.37X Centuri Vector-V rockets from earlier in this thread.

2) A more recent photo of the larger model.

3) An extreme closeup which reveals why I abandoned this particular project. While 3/32" balsa works fine for the upscale fins, it's way too "chunky and clunky" for the vanes.

About a year ago, I had Carl cut some upscaled vanes out of 1/16" basswood, but I haven't used them yet.

I'll have to rebuild the center section with the ST-10 tube and paper reducer. I cut down a piece of ST-13 tube for the sleeve that the vanes are glued to.

Very nice - Vector V is a great design, yours are looking good. I wonder how a 3X-ish upscale would fly?
