Man, that sucks, if such language is permitted on this forum. What make/model/year vehicle was it? I'm currently driving my wife's old 1993 Ford Escort with 153,000 miles on it and broken A/C. This car has had minimal maintenance done on it and just keeps chugging along... which I hope it'll keep doing until I can (someday) afford to replace it.
I hope whatever you have to do with your vehicle won't be too outrageously expensive.
