I have not had any trouble with the older Krylon clears over Testors or Model Master paints, (lacquer or enamel) whatsoever, other than it is heavy compared to Future that is airbrushed. Also, it will 'eat' certain kinds of decals (ask me how I know ) .
Always do sample tests to be sure for yourself, though!
