My first Dawn Star: http://rocketry.gonnerman.org/fleet/dawnstar.jpg I was REALLY happy with how it looked, but sadly the rear ejection system was decidedly a version 0.1 affair. It came down... |

I can tell ST-7 from BT-20 by feel, but it's not a size thing. ST-7 is stiffer. Dang, that sounds kind of odd now that I read it over again. Oh, well. |

A few months ago, some of you may remember, I asked for help getting the parts together to clone the Estes USS Atlantis in honor of a good friend who had passed. I have all the parts in hand, but... |

I have a similar sci-fi rocket design, my Dawn Star; the first one disappeared in a bean field, but I am building another to replace it. I used BT-60 for the sustainer, with a single 18mm core tube... |

I'm loving the first one in the first post, the Classic. Does anyone have a technique for getting those curved ilnes that doesn't involve fiberglas? |

I just added a hobby: I'm restoring a 1966 Honda Dream 305. It's black, but when I'm done it will be red. Assuming I can get past the whole "running" thing, of course. |

I misremembered, actually. The core tube only goes about halfway up. That rocket is built out of spare parts, including the salvaged fins from my Lil Marvin rocket. |

It's mid ejection. The engine tube actually extends up to almost the base of the nose cone, and I plan to fly it with a streamer folder against that core tube. I'll still need a little wadding... |

Crap, at this rate, I'll just call it what my wife suggested. No, not that. You guys have dirty minds. She said it ought to be called George. |

Thanks for the kind words about the Lil Centauri. I was just playing around with my tape and that's what I came up with. Gah. With friends like these, who needs enemies? :D |

Blowing out the engine mount, you mean? An older (German) Quest B6-2. I'm assuming my original job gluing it in place was inadequate; it's why I went to such trouble this time with the epoxy... |
