True, though I don't even consider competition models part of the fleet. I find my collection keeps growing every time I run across an interesting new offering, which given the treasures we have in... |

I just can't relate to the concept of any number or upper bound on the number of rockets. Admittedly my building has slowed down due to space constraints now that I'm north of 1000, but the unbuilt... |

Congrats on the milestone! I too got sort of addicted to the EMRR flight logs, kept up with the for several years, though wound up dropping the habit when the site got sold and went through... |

Add my vote to PMC as the worst. My first foray into that didn't go well. Knew I'd have trouble converting something on my own so went with a proven QCR kit. Beautiful model, but of course crashed... |

That's just a testament to their durability, though to be honest, that one has been retired after one other subsequent flight. For those not in on the joke, that model had flown maybe 8-10 times,... |

I've built just about every kit Model Minutes offered, before and during Nick/EMRR's ownership of them. They were pretty neat kits and held up fairly well in flight. There were a few things, as a... |

I've got today/tomorrow's too, but it's a much older one, so I'm not sure it's going to be worth the deeper dig to whichever box it's stashed in... |

Very sad news indeed, and my thoughts and prayers will be added to the growing community. I met them both a few years ago at NARAM, always a pleasure meeting the great people behind the businesses in... |

Well I have today's Omega #7, just have to figure out which box it's stashed in. That's a bit of a hunt. I'm not sure the gang's monitoring this, I never got a prize from the last one I had. |

OK I've got today's, Aerobee 300 #6, just a matter of figuring out which of the boxes it's hiding in. This may be the hardest $10 I'll have ever earned ;) |

Time to start throwing money Tim's way. Been awhile since I've bought much other than motors from Apogee, now have another good excuse. |

The seller is James Gartrell's heir(s) (son? grandson?). As depressing as it is to see such a fine rocketeer and person passing too young, I'm glad at least his collection is going for nice money as... |

I often efer to the existing rule (some would call it a loophole) as the "flying carcass rule" and have benefited GREATLY from it over the years. That said, I think it's a terrible rule and the RCP... |

I think you're on the right track, but would have to dig out my Qmodeling instructions to confirm. I think the approach they used was to bond the "forward" centering ring to the shaft, and the "aft"... |

What's a "good chance"? I know this is free-for-all, but come on--we're rocket scientists aren't we? Is the "good chance" higher or lower probability than gas topping $5/gallon and ending life as we... |

I wouldn't blame it on the the Quest motors, I'd blame it on where you got those motors ;) . Actually, the Quest is higher initial thrust, then longer/slower burn but a smidgeon less total impulse... |
