It shows time to apogee at 7-8 sec, so I guess a E9-8 would work, but prior flights on similar weight (230) in different rockets tend to want to go off at an angle. Might try a it on a longer rod.

I recently finished a clone of the 1962 Aero-Dart (Thanks..Stefanj). I was thinking of 1st flight on an E9 but it 'just' feels too heavy. Open Rocket checks out but.. me thinks it will fly on a E15.

I built the Raven also and it came apart as well...

I built the Raven also and it came apart as well at the pod mount. Repaired it and used some gauze(ala scout) to reinforce and it will glide forever.

Way back in 85 (before my NAR membership) I made probably 250+ Teleflite C-9 motors. They would kick like a mule (or B-14) and I did use the blast shield, but never had any 'problems'.

The original Mark 1 NC was made of cardboard/tagboard(I think). The 40 F was actually a fireworks NC from the Estes fireworks line. Carl would probably know.

That would be me.. The Mark 1 that I built turned out about 12 inches overall so I got my scaling a little off. Flies great on a A3-4t. John

Yes, used different photos. There's one somewhere of Mrs. Carlisle shown with a Mark 1&2, I tried to scale from that. I used balsa for fins and turned the N/C.
