You have the Twin Factor URL listed for the Expedition. I see they brought back the Nike-Apache and ASM. Pretty neat. |
Estes definitely seems to be thinking outside the box. I wonder if the Estes Twin Factor sets the record for the lowest maximum altitude for a 2 stage rocket at 150 feet? Either way, I am sure the rocket will be a blast to watch.

Here is the link for the Expedition:
http://www.estesrockets.com/coming-...49-expeditiontm Wow . . . that is one odd looking rocket. HoJo cone, "lobes" on the sides, not sure if they're skins or cut body tubes. |

The are cut BT-60 body tubes. John Boren |
Glad to see the Nike Apache and ASM back in the lineup.
Now if they would just bring the Nike-Ajax and K21 BT-70 based Gemini Titan back.... |

I've been wanted to to this model for a few years now so it's on my list of possible bring backs or maybe an upscale. John Boren |

Good to see both of these back. The ASM was a fun build, though I lost mine to a tree on it's first flight. The Apache can be used as the base to a few different rounds in 'Rockets of The World'. S. |
GREAT !!!!
I built 3 of the Nike Ajax kits from '79 through about '90. The first one I kept 18mm, the next two I upped to 24mm power from the start. Fairly draggy and does not go too high on a D12-5 or D15T 24mm RMS. It really gets up there on an E15 SU/E18 RMS composite. One of my favorite motors in the 18mm version is the composite D21. Bringing back the original BT55 based kit for 18 or 24mm and a BT-70 upscale for 29mm would be really great. You really are doing great things kit-wise over at Estes....the return of the 1/45 Little Joe II was a real statement that Estes is really listening. I know I'm beating a dead horse, but how about some port/core burning 24mm or 29mm BP SU engines with a real KICK off the pad like the old Centuri Mini-Max F97/FSI F100 lines ? |

I like the different packaging of the Nike-Apache. Less busy but still attractive to the male gender. |
