It reminds me of a bit in Mark Twain's 'A Tramp Abroad': 'What, Sir, you don't like this wine label? I have another here in my pocket, let's put that one on and see how you like it.' |

Following the link, at the bottom of the page, they list several cities, none in Kentucky. So there goes my Shatner/Versailles-Woodford County theory. >> New York, Chicago, Dallas, Charlotte, Knoxville, Hollywood, Atlanta Doug . |
Wonder if they will be producing the Capt. Picard/LCdr Data "It is green !" Adebaran Whiskey. ?
|
The fine print in the website says it's a blended whiskey from several producers (naming none - which is typical) and several ages.
|
Blended ??
Sounds awful and devoid of real character like most Canadian whiskey. Single Malt Scotch and Single Barrel Bourbon are what I call "decent" beverages. |

I vaguely remember a scene in one of the TNG movies or TV episodes where Jean Luc Picard is home in France in the family vineyards. So a Jean Luc Picard Vin Rose might sell among the Trekkers, if someone hasn't thought of it already. Speaking of which, who was the genius who hired an actor with a British accent to play a French star ship captain? One of the incongruities that really irked me. And wasn't the actor who played the holographic doctor in Voyager named Picardo? Coincidence, or.........? |
