That is quite a find!

If you have any information about where these were stored, etcetera, please post it.

Most people will buy these for collection purposes, but you never know!

I'm sure some dullard/buffoon over on that OTHER forum is trying to play "shipping cop" over this sale.

I have acquired many old MPC motors in various ebay lots and have flown them with mixed results. A batch of MPC B6-4's perform great, while C6-6's from the same lot do not.

Even so, I still value them all. The skunky C6-6's in a Semroc point are a hoot!

Try reading the thread. The seller misquoted the rules for shipping motor using the USPS.

And I'm the dullar/buffon you jerk.

Bill- my comment was NOT directed at YOU. It was a general observation about that site and what one is likely to get over there....bunch of tattle-tales and nannies.

Indeed, it is obnoxious when someone wants to sell a motor(s), the very next response is from someone who wants to try to edumacate the seller as to what the rules are.

It is amazing, really.

Please state for me one single incident that was a shipping disaster, let alone, accident.

While I'm glad there are folks out there who know and abide by the rules, it is extremely annoying when the self-appointed shipping cops step in under the guise of keeping the hobby safe. I would be willing to wager all the motors shipped by the typical schmos out there are done so without a single problem.
Do you lock up the left lane also to keep folks from breaking the speed limit, too?
I wish you 'cops' would tend to your own business; get the F out of the fast lane, as it were. If I or anyone else wants to ship a motor without the proper paperwork, it's my business/problem. Not yours.

No one asked you!

One more thing: Do you really think that because you have let the seller know how much you know about the rule, that it will change that seller's intent?
He just won't sell to you!
Allen

I honestly don't care if you or anyone else ships a motor improperly if you know the rules and are willing to take the risk. I do care that the original poster cut and pasted a paragraph out of a document that explains what it takes to ship a motor legally in such a way that it looked like anyone who wanted to do so could. Now anyone who reads that thread has access to the facts. Go ahead and do as you please but don't expect any sympathy if you get caught.

Gotta agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY with what Allen just said above.
The world is full of busy-bodies that more often than not should just keep their TRAPS SHUT and their SNOOTS CLOSED if they are not a DIRECT party to a transaction.
Buttinskis are never wanted nor warranted.
