QUEST Announces Three NEW Kits

Quest Aerospace, Inc. Pagosa Springs, Colorado – QUEST Announces the release of three new rocket kits. STRIKER AGM (Product No. 2020) is a tall scale-like missile with a molded plastic boat-tail and nose cone and retails for $13.99. MAGNUM SPORT LOADER (Product No. 3012) is a two engine cluster payload rocket and retails for $15.99. RAPTOR (Product No. 3011) is a futuristic Science Fiction design with bold water slide decals and retail is $21.99.

The STRIKER AGM and MAGNUM SPORT LOADER began shipping to hobby dealers this past week and are also available on the Quest website.

The RAPTOR will ship in Mid-June.

Those of us in a certain "fan club" are really glad to see the Raptor finally being released. :D

And I have to admit I especially like the look of the Striker. I've always loved the Laser-X style fin set and I'm surprised at how great it looks with a Nike nose cone. It looks so natural that it makes you wonder why nobody thought of that before. Really a nice design.

Fantastic new additions to your lineup, and I intend to order several. One question, though: Who designed that Raptor? Just curious. Looks like a certain person's style, but I thought I would wait to see for sure............
Did not see Raptor info on the website; I guess it needs to be released FIRST. :rolleyes:

Someone DID think of it before... In 1988 or so. The guys name was Bill Stine or something like that. It was an Enertek model called the Astra 2000 (I believe). :D

The Raptor is a Scott Branche design.

Actually, the ENERTEK ASTRA 2000 was designed by Steve Gram. Steve also designed several other Quest kits in the early days like the HL20, Navajo AGM, SuperBird, and Aurora.

Not to hijack the thread, but as long as we're talking great designs and designers, would it be possible some time in the future for you to post a reference list of Quest kits and who designed them? Quest has produced a number of really inventive designs over the years and it would be nice to know who did what.

Carl has done a nice job of listing the OOP manufacturers, and folks are trying to help out with supplying designer's names, but there is no similar listing anywhere that I can find of Quest's kits.

I DID say "something like that" Steve Gram has the same # of letters as Bill Stine... I think thats what confused me :rolleyes: ;)
