Boost/Rocket Glider Recommendation

I'm pretty much worthless at making gliders work. My mini-Bug nosedives, my Tinee glided more or less straight down (until I lost it in the bean field), and, well, the stories go downhill from there. At present I have no gliders in my collection (I still have the mini-Bug but I no longer consider it a glider).

I'd like a recommendation of a glider that will "just work" when built as designed, preferably one that I can either buy as a kit or build from plans available online. I want something that will turn in a recognizable glide without need for trimming, since I'm incompetent at that part.

Does such a beast even exist?

www.nar.org, go to Contests, go to plans. One for B motors it the "Fly Baby".

Oh yeah, I know the designer...

Also, the Edmund's Deltie is great. Almost requires no trimming at all.

I've had great success with the upscaled CMR Buzzard (slidewing), CMR Orbitron, original
CMR Buzzard, among others, and will be building the Quest Flat Cat shortly. I've left out the
CMR Manta, too. A few pics of the models listed above.....

The Quest EZ Glide is very uhhh... well, Easy! Does require some trimming though.

My students and I have had great success with the Sky Condor glider sold through Apogee. The wings are attached to a plastic piece that you slide along the main body until it is in the right spot to make it glide (test by tossing), then you glue it in place. I can't imagine a glider being any simpler.
Our first flight gave us a two minute glide using a B6-2. It was the highlight of the launch.

Mach 10!

I've built 2 and both glide nice. It won't set any records but is sure is fun.

The plans are on Jim Z's site.

The Estes/Semroc space plane is also nice.

Mark

Edit:

Looks like Semroc has everything you need for the Mach 10!

I'll second that! Fairly cheap, builds in about 10 minutes, flies wonderfully. Just don't even think of flying it on a C or you'll never get it back. I prefer A's, B's if winds are light.

Can't go wrong with the Edmonds gliders, and the QCR NeverLoop gliders (that are based on some proven MITRC designs).

(you can get Edmonds from Balsa Machining, QCR from http://www.cybertravelog.com/qcr/gliders.html )

I found that the old Estes Astron Falcon and the Centuri Mini-Dactyl were two of the easiest boost gliders to get to fly decently.
The Astron Sky Dart is not bad either if you build it light.
