Eggnog time again!

It's Eggnog time again! I just had my first cup of Eggnog for the season.
I live in New England so Hood is my brand. Golden Eggnog, De-lish!
Love it or hate it, it's my season starter.

BTW... 70 days until Christmas!

I usually wait until December before I partake. Any earlier is like eating Pumpkin Pie in June!

Don't remind me - we're (the dairy I work for) about to start bottling the stuff and it's a real pain in the patute to make. (Gotta run it last because it has eggs in it.) Only thing worse is the boiled custard - tastes great but takes about 5-6 hours to make.

Eggnog is nasty!

A lot of dairies, when making their GOOD eggnog (not the lowfat stuff,) start with their ice cream base, which is a minimum of 10% milkfat.

While this stuff is like pouring rubber cement in yer arteries, IT IS GOOD!

BTW, does anybody do any cooking with it? It makes WONDERFUL french toast! :D

Eggnog is one of those things like licorice - you love it or hate it. I hate both.
