Trying to clone this MRI Lambda 8 and can't get my work printer to cooperate.

I could use a little help with this. I'm seeing the MRI Lambda 8 as a four fin rocket, but I can also see it as a three fin. :confused: Anyone have an opinion?

At least 3!
The longer I looked at it, the more undecided I became. It first appeared that the angles looked more like 90°, and maybe the artist just decided not to try to draw that 4th fin, with so little to realistically show. |

All of their supposed "designs" are about as exciting as an Estes Kadet. Meh.. |
Having built this one way back in 69, I can tell you it is a 4 fin rocket. Anything else I can help you with sir?

Bill, that list is enormous ! That would take a boatload of motors to fly as well, with many requiring multiple engines due to cluster or multi stage designs. |

They're not always "designs", occasionally upscales or hybrids. I was taking the masking tape off of one yesterday and the fin came away in pieces. Apparently the balsa was flawed or had a hairline crack. I put the new fin on, fill and sanded it today, so I should be able to get it painted tomorrow to get back on track. A lot of them are of the "Hey, these two parts fit together" school of rocket design. ;) :rolleyes: |

You need to paint and decal about as much as you need to fly! If sanding is the holdup, I don't know why.....I love sanding! :rolleyes:
