Visual Variant of the Ventris

After primering my Pro Series II Estes Ventris I decided to do a color variant COMPLETELY different from the package photo.

I used only two colors of top coat: gloss white and gloss navy blue. The red stripes are Monokote adhesive film. The (50) chrome stylized stars are chrome Ultratrim adhesive film.

Hence:

That is gorgeous. Both in concept and execution.

 I agree. That's a killer.

Thank you! Except for the stars, it was actually rather easy.

There's a coupon in the paper today from Jo-Ann Fabrics. I bet they have a sticker section. I'm going to buy some star stickers so I can patriotically jazz up a model like that.

Very well done indeed. Congratulations on a fine interpretation!

Great scheme Jeff!

That looks really awesome!! I have never used monocote, but will need it for the Leviathan.. on the fins do you apply it, than trim the edge on the rocket or cut it to fit first, than apply it?

Thank you!

I first apply it to the fins, and then using the fin's edge as a "fence" I trim it with a quick motion using a new #11 blade.

That's lovely....I was nowhere nearly as creative - I just did color substitutions for the stock scheme.

I will say the Ventris is a fine flyer. You should enjoy it.
