Squirrel Works Callisto 3x13 mm
Latest new one is the Squirrel Works Callisto.
I modified it for 3x13 mm power. The decorative cardstock nozzle comes off for flight, and the nut and washer that hold it on become the motor retention. |
Very nice. What do you think it'll do (altitude-wise) with the 13's?
Clever bit there, with the faux nozzle stand and the retainer parts. |
Tomorrow it flies on 1/2A3-4Ts. OpenRocket predicts 241 feet. On A3-4Ts, the prediction is 490 feet.

Rich, what will you use to ignite them?
|
I have them prepped with Estes black tip igniters. If I decide to try a second flight I'll use Q2G2s. I also have the Ranger prepped with Q2G2s. (But I only have 8, and field prepping will be easier with Q2G2s, hence Estes for the first flight and Q2G2 for the second.) These'll be my first cluster flights, wish me luck.

Best of luck, Rich!
Pictures or it didn't happen! ;) Allen |
Clusters are a lot of fun. And such a good way to get rid of all those extra motors laying around. (At least for me. I really stocked up a few years back and then took a break from the hobby.)

Rich-
Very nice work. I have always wanted to cluster some 13mm. It just seems so silly and fun. Good luck with your flight! |
