Soyuz Nozzles
3 Attachment(s)
I needed an easy way to make 24 booster nozzles for my 29mm powered Soyuz TMA-3.
Using wire nuts I found on my bench, I drilled holes in the booster end caps and inserted them until they bottomed out against the flange. On the reverse side I used my soldering iron to melt them into place. They look very convincing and should prove to be durable enough to survive hard landings. |

Innovative use of wire nuts.
I like it ! |
I wish I’d thought of that. Nice work!

Comrade!
That's really cool. But that's gotta be pretty weighty. It'd work fine on a long nose moment Soyuz but I'd hate to try that on a short nose Sputnik. You'd need a solid tungsten nose. Please post a picture of your R-7. We just don't see that may built and yours sounds like a big one. |
You can see a photo in a thread I started about half way down page 4 in the projects section.
