It was just another slow day on Maple Street 'til I ran across this Deep Space Transport on eBay. Clicking on the second of the seller's photos an explosion of coffee, from my yap, rained across my keyboard; I burned a hole in my foot when my stub of a filterless Pall Mall got caught in the heel strap of my magenta Croc, and I won't go into detail, but assuredly as the dawn, in the whirl, I also lost control of my bowels. So, I thought I'd share. Is that really a Sandwiched and Captured Launch Lug? Are designs in cardboard, balsa, and straws really this limitless? |

I just checked JIMZ and according to the instructions for the Estes Deep Space Transport, page 4, step 10,... that is where the Launch Lug goes.

Thanks, Rosko. Kinda neat, right? I don't think I've ever seen any extensions built atop a LL before, and it's boxed in!

That is cool. Also I love that particular model. I always get a kick out seeing some small detail that got an extra helping of cleverness in the kit design. In the case of the DST, it beautifully solves the problem of needing a standoff for the lug to get around the nose cone. |
Looks great! :)
Where are the other 2 engines? ;) Verna http://www.vernarockets.com http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HHJHOK6 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O14ET8K http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CX1UPCG |
