Hello All,

Yesterday I received a set of Danny Sagstetter's "Rocketry Collector's Journal" issues. One of the issues that covered Semroc's early years included copies from their 1970 catalog.

The catalog listing for their XK-23 kit (see the "Retro-Repro" version here: http://www.semroc.com/Store/scripts/RocketKits.asp?SKU=KV-36 ) mentioned and included a picture of (in a kit parts photograph) an "experimental eject-muffler," which today we would call an ejection baffle. It looks sort of like the baffle in the Estes Bandit, but is much shorter and has fewer vent holes. How were its parts arranged, and how well did it work?

Many thanks in advance to anyone who can shed light on this.
