Well, the cliche is ' A Bad day flying is better n a good day at work " .. well, a perfect day flying is better than any of that :D
wonderful weather, light wind, sunny day here in NY. so just had to head out to the community center and burn a few.
10 flights as follows:
Astron Bandit on B6-4
nominal flight and recovery in grass.
Centuri Thunderbird clone on B4-4
excellent boost, graceful recovery on vintage 20" Centuri chute - Al had to run but caught this one.
BT20 upscale mini brute Screamer on Quest (China) A6-4.
nice flight, did get the ejection soot on upper tube, easily wiped off, streamer recovery on field in grass.
Astron Bandit on C5-3
great flight, chute popped a coupel lines, which is good since it still drifted slightly. no damage.
Semroc / Estes parts Lil Ivan on A8-3
very stubborn Russian rocket finally lit and flew great with good recovery on 8" chute.
Sizzler on B4-6
perfect flight and recovery.
Astron mini brute Starblazer on A3-4T
nice liftoff and flight, landed near mini golf course on pavement, minor ding to nosecone tip.
Vigilante clone on B6-0 to B4-6
excellent boost, staging - booster landed 10 ft from pad, sustainer tipped off slightly.landed behind mini golf house on edge of brush (15" mylar chute )
Fibre Rocket on Quest C6-5 Super C .
great boost, long burn ,chute partly tangled, landed by entrance
Astron Bandit on vintage Centuri C6-5
this lifted off fine, but had an early ejection,no damage to rocket or motor, good recovery on 15" mylar chute.
hope to get out and fly a few this weekend, not flown since NARAM 50 last year. :(
