Asking $2,800.00 dollars, he better take the time to provide a list of everything...
Lazy excuse if you ask me. :chuckle:

If he at least had larger pics it "might" be worth it but with what he's showing...no thanks.

I count sixteen kits in the picture. Maybe twenty. And a large uncertainty factor whether I'm counting them correctly. I'm a builder, not a collector, so the idea of paying $100 for anything less complex than a Saturn V does not interest me. Paying $150 - $175 per kit for a pig in a poke sounds like a terrible idea.
And what condition is that electro-launch in anyway?

With all the "craigslist" scams that have cropped up lately, I'd be VERY wary of puchasing anything in the rocket collecting arena off this site.

I must live in a cave, I guess; what about this 'jeffrey jones'? I don't look at craig's list, so that's part of my lack of info.
Just curious---inquiring mind(s) wants to know!

Bummer, did not see this until today and the listign has been removed - Albany is not too far from Biunghamton ;)
As for the scams - I thought the entire point of craigs was so you can deal IN PERSON and LOCAL, so no scams occur ... ie: cahs on pickup -
I bought an awesome viontage rocket hoard last year off craigs, very happy ( posted pics, but did nto go find link to the thread here on yorf ) .
any updates ?

Jeffery Jones, Jonesy, etc., etc.; this guy is a piece of .....work ;). He's not a real popular guy around here.
Uncle Mike has a deadbeat page on his site and you can read more about Mr. Jones here:
http://www.unclemikesrocketshack.com/Deadbeats/Jeff_Jones.html
You can also read more about "jonesy" and his more recent antics by searching for that name here on this forum.
Buyer beware.

Wow!
Reading back over all the search results, looks like I came close: I bought 5 rockets from him when he was 'suzikrp.' As I remember, the rockets took longer than usual to get here, but everything arrived in good shape.
I now consider myself quite lucky!
Incidentally, this was before I knew about YORF.
Thanks, Mike, for being so diligent!
