Hello All,

The performance of the Quest QT hand-toss glider (see: www.questaerospace.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=9622&eq=&Tp ) can be greatly increased by substituting much longer wing panels for the included foam ones. The Thermic 36 glider designed by John Zaic, Frank Zaic's brother (see: www.tmrcsailplanes.com/images/jetthermic36handlaunch.jpg ) has a "pod-and-boom" fuselage similar to that of the Quest QT.

Giving it sheet balsa wing panels (and a somewhat larger tail assembly) proportionally similar to the Thermic 36's would make the QT a good tow line glider that one could "kite" up into the air and then release by letting the tow line go slack.
