These are not my auctions; the seller has just told me offline that they are but the first of about 40 old rockets he plans to sell.

You can find the listing here (http://www.rocketryonline.com/auctions/category.php?cate_id=139&view=list).

It's a shame that ROL got so screwed up as a rocketry website. They used to have a good thing going, and at one time I used to visit the site often. Even participated as a bidder in some of their auctions. I would recommend to your friend that he consider posting some (or the rest!) of his auctions here on YORF. Ebay would also be a better choice than ROL (IMHO).

We're actually working on addressing a number of things with ROL; it's taking time.

We want to finish giving Info-Central its badly needed overhaul/update, first.

If you have specifics you'd like to see, let us know -- we're interested in people's thoughts. "I don't like it" doesn't tell us much.... ;)

I was registered on ROL many moons ago, but no more. I tried to register this evening and never got a confirmation email.

That's because the emails no longer go out automatically -- I manually approve them one or more times a day. We were getting 50+ spambot registrations a day, and they were posting some pretty nasty stuff.

Folks, I took a chance the other day and bought an item from the seller Kevin (troj) mentioned, even though I didn't know him and there was no feedback to rely on. I got the package today. The rocket is in great shape, was shipped fast. I got a rocket I've wanted since 1979 for a good price and you guys now know you can trust the seller.

And you didn't post a picture or even tell us what it was. :( Some friend you are.
