Man, the stuff you can find when you're looking for something else!

I've got a container of Elmers Wood Filler laying around somewhere. I'm looking for it so I can finish my Golden Scout. So far, I've found three Medalist motors (for sale in another thread) and this three pack of Estes D11-9 motors. Still in the blister pack although the plastic is cracking/splitting. I think I had these sold to someone last year but never got paid for them. Maybe I shouldn't ship until I get paid ;) . No, I'm not having any problems lately.

Anyway, I had them sold for $20 so I guess they should be worth $25 this year. But.....I'll sell them for $20 plus shipping. Anyone interested, just PM me.

Okay....now where is that wood filler......

How do these compare to D-12's

Well, I'll assume you are talking about a D12-7 since the D11-9 was designed as an upper stage motor....

The D12-7 has a total 20 nsec of thrust compared to only15 for the D11.
The max lift off weight for both was 8 oz.
The D12-7 had a max thrust of 9 lbs as compared to only 6.3 for the D11.
The D12-7 burned for 1.7 seconds where the D11 only 1.4 seconds.
The propellant weight for the D12-7 is .879 oz as compared to the .65 oz in the D11.

Oh yeah...the D12-7 has a seven second delay where the D11-9 has a nine second delay. ;)

(By the way....I found my wood filler :) )

The D11-9 was perfect for models such as the Estes Goblin; I still have at least one pack
of those motors in the sealed blister packaging, too! :D

I believe they were made for the early AstroCam.

I picked up these for a rear ejection rocket I was working on. Like a lot of my projects, it didn't get anywhere. But I had the motors if it did. I was going for the thrill factor. Rocket reaches apogee and no ejection. It's coming in ballistic. Everyone is running for cover and then puff...out comes the parachute from the rear. :D
