Well, I had started selling kits on TRF, and had quite a number sold, at very good prices, and many happy customers. This was done NOT to get me a lot of money, but to pass on kits I might not get to assemble to people wanting them. I only asked that people build them, and NOT sell them to others. Well, when I noticed the second of two kits going up on E-Bay, I pulled the Plug on the TRF thread.

I need money, yes, but I will not do the GREED-Bay number. Yes, I know money can be made that way, but going that manner allows Paypal & E-Bay to make money rather than the people with the items. It doesn't seem fair.

So I will try at this location. I have an extensive number of kits. I will only list a few at a time, and will change the listing as items sell and new kits are located. If there is a specific kit you are after, PM me to ask for it. Yes, I have a K-50 Interceptor, but No, you are not getting it.

#0875 DragonFly mini-powered boost glider 10" wingspan
#1957 Nike-Apache 1/12.25 scale model BT55 sized main Booster
#1903 Maxi-Alpha 3 - 2.6" bird
#1973 Interceptor II - Not the original, but still will bring back memories!
#2014 Firehawk - Original BT60 by 31.5" long, not the mini plastic new one (Inquiry)
#2037 National Aerospace Plane BT60 size by 26.5" long Great looking Kit (Inquiry)
#2115 SR-X "Blackbird"-type 'stealth' bird, thin foam Boost glider with internal pop-pod
#2149 Seahawk SM-3 - Just asking for 2-stage air-start conversion! Not a beginner's kit!
#2199 "the DUDE" The closest Estes has come to a 'foam-cup rocket' Your territory is safe, Jim :D
First $20.00 (plus $4.50 for shipping) Takes this One! Includes launch controller, 3/16 rod & launch "Stake" pad. A quick & easy set-up for loose soil. Bad for the 'hardpan' around here!

I also have numerous plastic models for PMC

Airfix 1/144 Apollo Saturn V #09170
Heller 1/125 Ariane with Launcher & Tower base #3401
Revell 1/144 Discovery Space Shuttle with Boosters #4544

Also, thanks to a gift from Estes Customer Service department of multiple boxes of parts & raided kits for replacement parts, if you have need of some unique components from the 'E's kit selection, send me a PM with kit & part description, & I'll try to hook you up with the goodies you need.

Like I said, NO E-Bay-ing this stuff. No Selling out everything to one person. (No Pay-Pal either, Postal Money Orders for payment required). Priority Mail shipping on all orders.

I would welcome PMs with what you are after & what price you think is fair. I will reply here to let you know my thoughts. Let's try for an alternative to GrEed-Bay.

Thanks for allowing me to "Soap-Box" here. I welcome comments from people who have gotten kits from me in the past. Let's get some kits built, ehh?!?

All the Best to one & All.

In most cases, these kits are open and Complete. In some cases they are sealed.

Okay, I have one Classic that I'm going to try a "bidding process" if the moderators will permit me. A bit of warning, I have a "what it's worth to me" minimum in mind for this kit, so if the bids don't match that, I'm sorry, but I will hold onto it.

Sealed 'E' kit #1336 Boeing A.L.C.M. (air-launched cruise missle) Cruise Missle, a skill level 4 kit involving blow-molded plastic, sheet plastic and injection-molded plastic components. A beautiful scale kit of the original shorter prototype version. I had the original Centuri kit which included the folded paper stand, and the online plans show it being included. As I said, this is sealed so I cannot confirm contents or condition. I WILL make good on most anything missing, damaged or whatever, 'cause my stock while not Quite as extensive as the Big 'E's, it IS getting close...

I will cotinue to try the 'bidding' arrangement here, but I don't hold out a lot of hope on it.

I have also unearthed a PMC Classic kit- The MPC #9001 Pilgrim Observer kit. Originally a 'deep space' explorer design with an atomic power-plant, it had an Apollo-style spacecraft and shortened service module, just like current Ares/Constellation thinking.

I will take 'bids' on this, but I would very much like to get it into the hands of someone looking to do a PMC competition special. Serious inquiries only, please.

Thanks to One & All!

Glen,

I was the first to reply to your original offer on TRF so let me be the first to reply here.
Having bought a number of things from Glen let me repeat what I posted after our first transaction:

Everything arrived in great shape.
Thanks again for the very reasonable prices and no-hassle transaction.

Folks, if you are looking for a special collectible at non-collector's prices, ask Glen if he has what you're looking for. Very easy to deal with.

And remember, Glen, I also want to be first in line when you finally decide to part with the Interceptor. ;)

Thanks for the offer, Steve, but that is one that I won't part with. You know what they say about Something freezing over, tho...

Thanks for the kind words, too. I remember the days when finding a box at the front door from Penrose brought an instant smile to the face. Of course, I still feel that way, but only because they are sending catalogs for me to pass on to educators in my area. But let me send a rocket to YOU! Make me an offer.

Rockets are Fun! If there isn't a smile on your face, you're doing it wrong!

To prove it, go buy yourself a Fliskit "Deuces Wild". If THAT doesn't bring a smile, Nothing will!

Glen,

Thank you for re-offering your kits/parts for sale again to us without having to go through eBay.

I would like to ask all of my users to please abide by Glen's rules. He is not offering his kits/parts to us at a good price just so we can flip them on eBay to make a quick buck. He's offering these items to us BAR's who want to build them or add them to our collections. Let's not abuse Glen's generous offer like some on TRF have done in the past.

Thanks for offering them up. I'll finally get a Marauder to build now instead of cloning it. :D

I feel that way about a box from Knightdale NC! ( I would feel that way about Fliskits but they don't come in the mail I get them from a local hobby shop)

I know what you mean. Carl is doing some of the greatest kit resurrections of all times! And his prices beat the daylights out of some of the other 'cloners' out there. I've got the Laser-X and want the SLS version. Or maybe the Mars Lander. Or maybe the Saturn 1B. Or maybe...

The way of life, what can I tell you?!?

I think I've figured it out, the NC address is just a front, Semroc is really based on Kamino! :D

Is Much less Important than what you are getting. Like a Mars Lander after parting with my unbuilt one many years ago (for a Very good price!). Carl & the family are doing the kits we old-timers want, that's all that's important!

I would actually much rather build one of Carl's Semroc clones usually than an original.
The part quality is usually much higher than the originals and often have modern upgrades to make them more durable, while retaining the flavor and appearance of the original.
Honestly, I can't say enough good things about Semroc and the team of Carl/Sheryl/Bruce.
They have variety, quality, prices, and service that are second to NONE !
Now if we could just get Carl & co. to start producing Semroc BP motors again..... :p
Not sure if I would call myself an "old-timer" at age 36, but I'm definitely a BAR, and Semroc definitely offers what I want !

...Is Much less Important than what you are getting...Of course, producing a product folks want is the mainstay of any business. Initially I bought Semroc kits simply because of what they were. Now that I've met and talked with them, part of my decision is based on who they are and what they are about. Not only are they producing the kits us BARs want with top notch quality at reasonable prices, they are passionate about the hobby, are running the business with a genuine purpose of improving and serving the hobby for the long run, and are some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet. :)

Hey Ryan-

Glad you got it in good shape. I seldom have trouble with Priority Mail packages, but it Can happen.

Paul K.-

When I met Carl and Family at NARAM 47 in West Chester, OH, he was extremely helpful, asking what kit I would like to see next and I Had to vote for the K-50 Interceptor. He found out I was active in educational use of model rocketry and he gave me gratis one of his "my Boid" rockets and a Semroc hat as well. Here is someone that makes the most of good publicity. I bought a handful of Semroc Rockets and was very happy with the day.

We have a lot of good vendors out there who are staying true to the classic manner of 'Vern and Gleda' back when Estes was the best. Unlike now, when 'E' is just the biggest.

Some much for that. I'll get down off the soapbox now...
