AWSOME day at Nov 17th TTRA launch!

BEAUTIFUL Florida weather made for a great day of flyin rockets! My friend Andy Greene sent his Estes Argent up a G40W, and it was PERFECT! I got everything back that i launched(unlike last month!) but not without one funny lil incednt....my Big Daddy managed to SPLASH DOWN in a small 25'X25' pond behind the flightline, but i got er back with help from my little buddy Devon, and she's GOOD TO GO! Family, friends and Moel Rockets....what a FUN day!

I had that happen a couple of times at VOA over the years. The empty engine casing always soaked up so much water that I had trouble getting it out.

From the time i plucked the rocket from that pond and took it back to my table...it had started to SWELL! Fortunatly, with some careful effort, the motor did come out without damage......but it took some DOIN! :eek: :)

I had I had my first splashdown last spring at our Cinco De Mayo launch.
Here is my splashdown, The only puddle around and my rocket has to find it.
