Let's get this party started! This crazy weather is making for tough decisions regarding range set up for the WOOSH launch on 3/24. If the current weather trends continue, I have a feeling it will be well attended. The usual winter setup is pretty scant, and is not aimed at a big crowd. With Scott being laid up, I've mostly taken over equipment management, and have also been doing some work on the club launch equipment. The favor I ask of all who attend our launches, is to post here your intentions for the march launch. I'll make sure there's enough GSE at the launch, but on the other hand I don't want to rush through it if it's not needed. Please spread the word, and encourage any friends and club members who are not using the forum to do so, it's a better way. Thanks, Chad.

I was thinking that I have bird or two in need of maiden flight so, 1/4 & 3/16 mod roc, 1010 rail(course if we have kite weather then its' a moot point).
if you need a bird breakdown, please ask.

No need for more detail, I just don't want us to get ambushed with a "summertime" crowd with the "wintertime" range.

My plan for the 3/24 launch is a couple low power on a 1/8 rod and a couple mid power on a 1010 rail. I should be able to get there early to help set up.

I'm thinking of attending. Want to meet Tim and swap some parts. Might as well launch while I'm there. Is there a non-club member fee for launching? I can also bring a Quad Pad with 8' 1010 rail, and cords if needed (or wanted).

Club member or not, there's a fee. Usually not in the winter, but depending on how much set up we need to do, there might be. That has yet to be determined, as far as I know.

I'm hoping to attend, might bring the boys (depends on their schedules).

Planning to launch some D/E birds, maybe an F or two. If the boys come along, I'm sure there will be a chunk of A-D powder burned, too. ;)

I will be there and using 3/16 & 1/4 rods and possibly a rail (possible L1 cert flight).
Chad- let me know if you need any help prepping ahead of time, or on the day of the launch, or getting items to the launch.

Hello All
TWA had a launch today. The crowd was good size. We had 3 pads and one set of leads. For next Sat. if weather is good maybe 3-4 pads and 2 leads would work a little better.

Thanks Gary. Should be able to avoid bringing the whole trailer then.
